My dad & my 2 aunts are executors of a 3rm HDB flat.

In the event of my dad passes on in the future, what will happen to his share?

I am worried for my mum, and I would like to seek some advice about it as it has been troubling me for many years.

Will it be better to sell that flat and split proceeds among the 3 of them (once I moved out of the flat after marriage).

And buy a HDB studio flat (senior citizens) or resale 2 or 3rm flat with the proceeds?

What will be the estimated costs involved?

Money will be a concern, as both of them are retirees and don't have savings at all.

Hi,

May I know who are the owners of this 3rm flat? If its on a joint tenancy between your dad and your mum, if your dad moves on, the remaining share will go to your mum automatically. She will have the sole rights to decide what to do with the flat.

In any case, a new HDB studio apartment price is quite affordable as it comes on flexi-lease periods as well so you need not worry.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.
