My dad and mom are getting divorced, and my dad have agreed to sell his share of the house to my mom and me.

I've never taken a HDB loan before, nor have I owned any property.

1. The house currently has an outstanding bank loan, what happens next?
2. Who does the valuation, is my dad allowed to sell below or above valuation (assuming mom and dad agrees)?
3. Is this even allowed?

Sorry to hear about the situation, I hope you are managing well.

Is your mum still getting employment income? She has to buy over your dad's share and be able to finance the remaining loan amount. If not your name has to be added assuming you have employment income.

You should speak to the HDB branch officer on this because this transfer of ownership due to divorce requires hdb approval to confirm eligibility and financing matters.

Sorry to hear about your situation. For your case, it is recommended that you approach the estate manager of your HDB branch office for help with regards to the transfer of share. You and your mum will need to take over the loan ie both of you will need to have an employment income to be feasible.
