My company is closing its Singapore office and I will be retrenched if I cannot sell our flat and move to the UK. Might HBD make an exception to the MOP under these conditions? (we would have fulfilled 3 years out of five)

Evening John, Being able to purchase resale HDB unit would meant that you should be at least SPR with SPR or SC spouse. Therefore with your company closing it's office in Singapore would not affect your ability to look for another job. To utilize this reason to sell your unit prior MOP might not be feasible. Hi John It is very unlikely as HDB is very strict on the 5 years MOP ruling. Regard Aaron 9730 8455  aaronchong2774@yahoo.com.sg Read More

Hi John, you may move to the UK and rent out your HDB unit although it has not met the MOP. However, you will only be able to sell it after you have returned to Singapore and fulfilled the remaining MOP. If you need any assistance, I am reachable at 91264595  and propnex.jessica@gmail.com Read More
