My brother wish to purchase a HDB 3 room unit and please enlighten me about the procedure and my brother is still single, he wish to stay in Hougang near parent then, and question about the hdb loan and bank loan please enlighten then

Hi William,

Firstly, your brother must be at least 35 years old.

Secondly, if his monthly salary is more than $3,000, he is not entitled for HDB loan and grant. He can walk into any bank to apply for a loan in principle.

If his monthly salary is less than $3,000, he may apply for HLE through HDB website. The grant he will entitle is $11,000.
