My bf is planning to buy resale HDB 4rooms flat with his parents .He is a SC .What i would like to know is "after we married we want to buy a new flat can he buy one more with me without selling of the flats he bought with his parents or he have to sell off first ? If he have to sell off the flat the parents need to pay back all off his CPF or not,any idea?Please,help me answer .We are getting married soon and they are gonna buy flat ....:(

Morning Hay.

If your bf purchased an resale HDB unit with his parents, he will be have to comply to the Minimum Occupation Period of 5 years, before he can sell it to the open market.

Every Singapore Citizen can only have one HDB flat at any one time. If you have intention to purchase a unit with your boyfirend, he would have to either sell it off to the open market or his parents would have to buy over the amount that your boyfriend had paid for, which he have used by CPF + interest incurred.

Hence do consider about it before getting into any purchase. FYI.
