Hi,

In current market conditions, it might take 2 to 6 months to find a buyer, thus it is already a suitable time to start marketing you unit. Otherwise, once you collect the keys to your BTO, you are required to sell within 6 months of moving in, and you might have to accept lower prices just to fulfil HDB requirements. I am sure you will wish to avoid that. May I know which block is your unit located in J.West? Will be glad to share with you the comparable nearby unit prices and assist further. Thanks.

I think you should start placing your flat in the market now.

As of now, it will take slightly longer time than before to dispose off your flat in current property market. Within this time frame, i think you should be able to renovate and move into your BTO while waiting for your current flat's sales proceeds.

Btw I have been staying in Jurong West for almost 3 decades. With my familiarity in this area, I hope I will be of great assistance to your property sale.

Regardless if you require the funds for the next BTO or not, it is advisable to start immediately, unless you are optimistic that prices will spike in the short future.
