Hi Jonathan,

As you did not state clearly what is the MOP period for your flat, I would presume it is 5 years if your flat is bought directly from HDB OR from the open market with CPF Housing Grant. If this is the case, you will need to fulfil 5 years MOP period before you can purchase private property. Else, your deposit will be forfeited should the sale be aborted due to the MOP period not being fulfilled.

However, if your flat was bought from the open market, WITHOUT any CPF Housing Grant, there is no such restrictions.
