Me (SC) and my gf (PR) going to buy resale HDB as my gf still holding the overseas property. She plans to dispose off the overseas property in order to buy the resale HDB here. Can anyone share with me whether can we apply for the HDB housing loan?

Good evening,

both of you wont be eligible for HDB loan cause your fiancee didn't dispose off her overseas property 30 months before buying a resale HDB.

Hi,

1) As long as there is an SC in the family nucleus, you shall be eligible for the HDB loan.
2) Only if your combined income exceeds $14k/mth, meaning if you are still eligible if your combined income is exactly $14k/mth.

3) You may do your HLE application here:

4) Your gf has up to 6 months upon key collection of the purchase to dispose of her overseas property.

Hi,

1) Unfortunately, under your current condition you are not eligible for an HDB loan.
2) The reason is that there is a clause forbidding HDB loan application when any of the applicants have local/overseas residential property within 30 months of application.
3) You won't be eligible for the HDB loan even list your gf as an occupier.
4) In order to be eligible for the HDB loan, you have to wait out for 30 months after disposing of the overseas residential property.
5) But if the overseas property discussed is under the category of industrial or commercial. You will be eligible for the HDB loan now.
