Me & my sister staying with our parents.we both have our own family also.she have a flat rented out.our parents will inherit their flat to us if they pass away.can I ask to sell the flat if our parents pass away even if my sister refuse?coz she is making money from her own flat so don't think she will agree.or would I loss my share if i did not made any contribution to this flat when things turn ugly?pls help.

Hi,

It appears both of you have your own HDB flats now, so if your parents will their flat to you or your sister, you are required by HDB to sell it away as no household can keep 2 HDBs at the same time. You can also choose to sell your current place and keep the inherited unit, but it depends on what kind of Will your parents are considering and how it is split (if any) between you n your sister.
