Me and my spouse bought an EC (TOP 2015). My Mum wants to pass her HDB flat (bought 2002) to me, what should my Mum do? What will happen to the HDB flat should she pass on, can I keep both the houses?

Morning Gail,

You mum can find a lawyer and prepare a WILL. As to whether you can keep the unit upon the deceed of your mum, that would depend on when that happens. If it happens before your MOP of your EC, it's highly likely that you will need to sell away HDB unit. If it happens after the MOP, you can write in to request for approval to keep the unit.
