Me and my fiance are thinking of getting a resale flat but was wondering if we'll still qualify for the hdb grant, which requires us to have income of 8k or less. Our combined gross salary is less than 8k excluding bonuses. However, on top of our salary, there's a substantial component of allowance that my fiance gets when he works night shifts in the hospital as a doctor. We were wondering if that will be included under the 8k income since HDB claimed that allowance is not included.
Can any of the HDB specialists who've seen similar situations advise us? thanks.
