Me and Brother owned a HDB flat under PR Sibling scheme with DBS BANK LOAN. Now we both got our citizenship (after 5 years) and I would like to withdraw my name in order to get another flat with my wife.
So we submitted HLE to HDB for transfer of ownership to my brother as owner and my parents as occupant only. HDB LOAN is approved.
But now i am confused on what to do next. I know i need to redeem my loan from DBS to HDB LOAN.
I call up some law firm, they said it is a PART SHARE and cost about 5k to 6k. But when i called HDB they said they can do the transfer, and only need law firm to do the redemption with the BANK which is only few hundreds.
Can someone kindly advice me on what i need to do? I have the HDB Loan approval but only valid for 3 months and for redemption i need to serve 3 months notice too..
