Hi Kay,

Is the wife also the ownership of the flat? For any selling to take place, owners need to sign on the OTP. You can refused to sign if you do not want to sell.

Please feel free to drop me an email or call me directly for a non-obligation discussion. Alternatively, we can also meet up to discuss at your convenient time and place.

Thank you & Best Regards

Morning,

If both names are registered as the owner, the OTP requires both owners to sign to make the contract valid.
If one is the owner and other as the essential occupier, spouse consent to sell form must be submitted along with the application.
If the unit is solely owned and the spouse is not named in the unit and the spouse consent to sell form have not being duly signed, the spouse does have the rights to bring this case up to HDB.
