Looking to buy a condo soon and currently going through a conversion to Singapore Citizen. Does anyone know whether when am I counted as a citizen and don't need to pay the ABSD ? Is this after the issue of the NRIC collection slip or is it after the Citizenship ceremony when I get my NRIC from my GRC's representatives?

Hi Mr. Daniel,

I'm adding in to ensure you have smooth transaction in getting your home.

Do note that upon collection of temporary NRIC (a slip of paper) after the ceremony, it takes another week to receive your passport if you apply immediately.
Any OTP sign before the date of passport issued shall deem as PR or foreigner whichever residence status you're currently in.

Thus ensure the OTP issued date is after your passport issued date.
