Loans for HDB is based on MSR and TDSR. For private property, its only based on TDSR. Assuming you do not have any debts or loans, and you are looking at purchasing HDB, you should use MSR as a guide. Question is why would you want to subject yourself to such confusion since getting the HLE (HDB loan) or IPA (bank loan) is without obligations and you will have a clearer picture on your loan eligibility.
