Before your question is being answered, it will be good to know full situation for you as you can see that my fellow professionals have mentioned that EC is a better choice if you are able to afford.
Right now resale 4room HDB have already hit around $600k range in North East region, therefore if the location of the DBSS is okay, it may not be a bad purchase afterall, although there is a joke around saying DBSS = "Don't Be So Stupid" while EC = "Excellent Choice".
