Dear Aussat,

Properties in Singapore stands good chances to appreciate in years to come due to strong government intervention in economic growth and scarcity of land.

There will no good or bad times to buy, only good or bad time to sell. It does not really matter if you have strong holding power which is coupled well with your intention to rent out to cover your monthly mortgage payments.
With a 80% loan, expected rental yields ranges 4-8% which is much higher than current bank's interest rates of 1-2%.

To invest in D09 will be a good choice, you are looking at > 4% rental yield. And there are plenty of foreigners looking for house.

In terms of investment, I'd wish to caution you that the most important aspect will be your holding power as well as available cashflow to finance this purhase comfortably without compromising on your lifestyle.
