Is there is any way that HDB will allow us to sell the property in the open market if we have not met the 5 year MOP under special circumstances, ie. working overseas as we could not find suitable employment in Singapore.
Next question is are we allowed to let my brother-in-law and his wife to stay in our flat without paying rent, just utilities charges, as we are not keen to let the flat stay vacant.
FYI, HDB approved the whole flat to be subletted for the past 2 years but rejected it last year when we tried to renew it.
