Hi,

Whether if it is worth it depends on various factors. Of course older flats will generally have more maintenance issues as compared to newer flats. Which is why their prices is also generally lower than that of the newer flats in a similar location.

Perhaps you could ask yourself, what is your objective of the purchase, and what are your plans going forward. This way, you may be much more clearer in your decision making.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Dear Buyer,
All HDB properties are worth buying! However, I must advice you that older properties face a decaying lease and as such, command less demand when you try to sell it. But, buying an old HDB property in a very good location has its benefits.

Firstly, the demand will always be there. Secondly, the potential for price increase is always there. Third but of a lesser note, the possibility of SERS might happen could also be there.

It all depends on govt plans for redevelopment in that area. I cannot possibly cover all areas but if you would like to know more, please contact me so that I can share with you my strategy for your family.
