Hi,

If you are SC and have met your MOP of 5 years for your DBSS, yes you can purchase condo and rent out your hdb. Do note 7% ABSD applies for 2nd property and the max loan you can take for 2nd property loan is 50%.

Congrats on taking your first step towards financial freedom. It is a good plan to buy a condo to stay while renting out your HDB as your HDB is likely to bring you a decent rental yield.

However, careful financial planning should be done to ensure that you do not over leverage or overstretched yourself. My colleagues have mentioned that you will be subjected to the Additional Buyer Stamp Duty of 7% for your 2nd property.

Do take note that you will be liable for 7% ABSD for your next condo purchase as it will be your second residential property.
