Hi Mohan,

1) Under current Singapore law, a minor is not able to appoint as owner.
2) To buy a property under a minor name is only via setting up a trust. This American citizen minor is not subject to ABSD if this is the 1st property in Singapore.
3) Bank will not support a mortgage loan for a trust.

A minor below age 21 is not eligible to own a condo. The purchase has to be made under a Trust.

No ABSD is payable for the Child's first property under FTA. And no loan will be granted. The purchase has to be in full CASH.
