Is it legal to enter a private written contract to permit the seller to stay past 3 months after resale completion?

Seller has requested additional time to search for a flat and willing to compensate.

Hi, it’s not a matter of legal of not but rather it all voice down to negotiation between the 2 parties. And as long as buyer does not mind, then just a written agreement will do.

If this is a private residential, a Tenancy Agreement for 3 months could be drafted. If this is a HDB flat, a maximum of 3 months extension can be granted, provided all the conditions has been fulfilled.
