Hi Kris,
For contra age is not an issue. Age is only a factor when you're talking about cpf utilization and/or loan for property. They will be adjusted according to the age profile.

Contra is only applicable for HDB to HDB transaction using HDB loan. Age of unit will only impact the amount of CPF that you can use and how much loan and cash you require.
