Morning,

If they do not have a WILL, all the child will get an equal share of the unit once the grant of probate have being attain to sell the unit. If there's a WILL, things will be much easier.

Hi,

If your parents are the flat owners, they may transfer the flat ownership to you under JOINT TENANCY.

In joint-tenancy, there is a right of survivorship, which means that upon the death of a joint-tenant, his/her interest in the flat will automatically be passed to the remaining co-owner(s), regardless of whether the deceased has left behind a Will.

If your parents did not transfer the flat ownership to you & have passed away without a Will, then the flat has to sell & money will be split accordingly.
