I'm Singaporean and currently living with my parents. so Its my first time buying a house. Please help answer the following scenario/questions. Thank you.

1) i intend to buy a resale HDB under the single scheme. so lets say after living in the resale HDB for 2 years, can i buy a private condominium like a unit at The Woodleigh Residences?

2) i intend to rent a studio unit at a condominium for 2 years. during this 2 years, can i buy a resale HDB?

Hi,
You can purchase a resale HDB if you are above 35 years old, as a single. You also need to complete a MOP of 5 years before you can purchase a private condo.

You can rent a unit either in a HDB or private apartment/condo and still apply to purchase a resale HDB without any issues, as long as you are above 35.

Hi,

Yes you can purchase resale HDB on single singaporean scheme if you are 35 years and above. After purchase, you need to stay in the HDB and fulfil the MOP of 5 years before you are eligible to purchase the next residential property (be it HDB or condo).

If you decide to rent a condo now, as long as you fulfil the HDB eligibility schemes such as being 35 years old and above, single Singaporean, yes you can purchase resale HDB.

HDB buyers will need to fulfill the 5 years minimum occupation period before they are eligible to purchase a private residential property, meaning the flat must be occupied by the owner physically for 5 years, therefore you can definitely rent a studio unit first and purchase a resale HDB after that but once purchase is completed, you must be staying in the HDB.
