Hi Mrs. Wong,

Yes for SPRs with hdb, they need to sell away their hdb within 6 months after buying condo. Yes based on current policies, thereafter you can also sell your condo and buy resale hdb again, subject to all hdb criteria met for PRs.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Warm Regards,

Hi Ms Wong, due to your PR status, I'm afraid that you can't hold on to your hdb while you purchase another condo unit. And due to the weak market sentiment, it would be better to sell off your current hdb first before you purchase a condo unit. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

Good morning Mrs Huey!

Under HDB regulations, PRs have to dispose of their HDB within 6 months of purchasing a Private Property.

As such, you have 2 options now:
1) Purchase a Private Property and sell off HDB within 6 months
2) Sell your HDB first and then purchase a Private Property

Either way have their pros and cons. I am contactable at my mobile to discuss further and look forward to assisting you.

Hi Mrs Wong,

SPRs need to dispose off their HDB within 6 months of their purchase of a private property.

My advice is you sell off your HDB first, before committing to purchase a condo.

Reason why you should sell off your HDB first, is that you can save 5% on ABSD on your private property purchase.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305. I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
