I'm looking to buy a resale hdb to stay in, but intend to rent out the vacant rooms. Just wonder which ones will be easier to lease out, 4rm or 3rm flats? Was thinking renting out 2 rooms would generate a tidier income but would it be difficult to find tenants for 2 common rooms?

Good morning! Location plays a part to attract tenants. Secondly, have you apply for HLE or IPA to find out whats your budget? It will somehow determine whether can you afford 3RM or 4RM. If you need any assistance in your property purchase, feel free to contact me. Cheers!
