Firstly, it would depends on how steady your relationship is. Secondly, both of you must be ready to commit, as you need to present the ROM cert, months from key collection. Thirdly, to apply for a house, I would presume you are getting new flat. Are both of you eligible? If you are getting a resale unit, are both of you financially ready? Lastly, have both of you sat down and work out the micro details?
It's not easy to just want to buy and own a property. Planning and understanding is important.
