Hi,

You need to apply with your parents to form the family nucleus. If they have met the MOP of 5 years, and your household income is 14k and below, yes you will qualify for the EC. Do note that they have to sell away their hdb/remove ownership from their hdb once the EC reaches TOP. You will be considered 2nd timer if they have taken grants for them existing hdb.

As EC is considered a form of subsidized housing for Singaporeans from Government, you have to meet the eligibility conditions.

Firstly, you will need to form a family nucleus. Your monthly household income should also not exceed $14,000. And you will have to sell off your existing HDB latest 6 months upon key collection of the EC.

If your parents HDB is bought under subsidy or grant, you will be considered a second time. Please note that there will also be resale levy payable, depending on the size of the HDB flat current owned.

EC is a hybrid type of housing which purchasers will need to fulfill certain conditions such as family nucleus and income cap before they are eligible. However, they are good investment if you are eligible.
