Hi,
1) You (SC) and your spouse (SPR) are not eligible under the "Public Scheme" for BTO for your situation.
2) You may list yourself as the sole owner and your spouse as an occupier.
3) However, this does not give him any excuse to hold local/overseas property for the past 30 months.
4) You can only apply BTO with him after 30 months of disposing of his overseas property.
5) If you wish to make any purchase now or less than 30 months of waiting, you can only consider resale, because buying a resale HDB flat allowed disposing of his overseas property within 6 months of purchase.
6) Under current HDB policy, if your spouse wishes to keep his overseas property, he has to write to appeal to the HDB with valid reason. (hdbresale@mailbox.hdb.gov.sg)
7) And please do not try to hide information in HDB flat purchases.
8) There is an announcement on the revision of penalty over information to the public servant from 3 months jail term to 6 months jail term. Desmond Lee had also mentioned the HDB is withdrawing hundreds of cases on wrongful claims on grants. This implied the HDB is tightening their checks on everything from now onwards.
