I'm a foreigner,looking for a condo,for personnel use to buy.what are the singapore regulations,can you buy in certain developments only or anywhere.
Would consider new development with progressive payments.
maximum investment 500,000 sgd,currently have property in Johor,and am in singapore about7 times a year.
please advise.

Hi Charles,

As mentioned by Kevin, you are eligible to purchase developments that are strata titled. Most condos are under strata except for a few that are actually mixed, e.g. phoenix heights.

With a maximum investment of $500,000, you might want to look at smaller mickey mouse units. As its mainly not completed yet, there are indication that rental in good locations can go up to $7psf. This will give you about a 4% - 5% yield, considered high for a new project.
