Hi,

Are you referring to a resale HDB? If you are 55 years old and above, you can purchase a resale HDB 4-room size or below first before selling your private property. You need not wait out 15 months to do so.

You will need to be 55 years old and above in order to be eligible to purchase a resale HDB of 4room or below. You may also look into applying for short lease 2 room flexi flat direct from HDB.

If you are below 55, then there will be a window period after selling your private condo before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB (15 months) or purchase BTO/SBF (30 months), if you fulfil all other criteria.

Hi,

1) Under the latest cooling measures implemented in Spe 2022, if you own a private condo and are below 55 yrs old. You will have to wait 15 months after selling before eligible to buy a resale HDB flat.
2) If you own a private condo and are at or above 55 yrs old, then you are eligible to apply for the 2-rm Flexi lease now without selling your private condo.
3) Under condition (2), you are also eligible to buy a 4-rm or smaller resale HDB flat without selling. But you have to sell your private condo within 6 months upon key collection of the HDB flat.
4) Under condition (2), you will have to wait 30 months after selling your private condo before eligible to apply for a 3-rm BTO.
