Morning,

If you are buying HDB, you are required to fulfill the 5 years MOP before you are eligible to rent out the whole unit. However, you are still eligible to rent out the common rooms while you are staying within the unit.
If you are buying private condo, you are eligible to rent out the entire unit or even purchase unit that have existing tenants. You are also allow to sell your private condo anytime from time of purchase but you will be subjected to Seller Stamp Duty.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Hi,

as addressed, for Resale HDB and new EC, no rental of whole unit, or sale as applicants have to stay for at least 5 years. However rental of rooms, with owners staying, are permitted.

For new/resale private properties, its more flexible as you can rent or sell (subj to stamp duties) anytime.

May I know which areas are you keen on? Will be glad to understand your requirements better and go through some recommendations. Thanks!

Morning,

You have to fulfill MOP first before you are eligible to rent out or sell off your whole unit. But you are eligible to rent out rooms.

As for private, you can rent out your whole unit but will be subject to seller's seller stamp duty on a staggering basis if you sell it within 4 years of ownership.

Hope it helps!

If you need any assistance in your property purchase, feel free to contact me.

Hello!

As mentioned by my fellow colleagues, there would be no sale or rental of the whole unit for the first 5 years because it is a public housing which is meant to provide a roof and not for generating income.

On the other hand, private properties provides you more flexibility in a sense, you can lease out immediately but you will be looking at seller stamp duty if you decide to sell within 4 years.

It would be useful if I could understand your needs to further serve you better.

I hope this information helps.

Thank you.
