Hi,

If you are below 55 years old, you still have to wait out 15 months after selling the private property before you can purchase resale HDB. Both of you must each hold SPR status individually for 3 years as well to be eligible to purchase.

Both of you will be required to be above 55 years old in order to be eligible to purchase a resale HDB that is 4 room or smaller. If you are younger than 55 years old, then you will need to wait out a 15 months period before you are eligible to do so.

Hi Meng Yan,

1) Unfortunately this is not possible under the current HDB policy.
2) Those who are younger than 55 yrs old and sold a private residential property will have to wait for 15 months before being eligible to buy a resale HDB flat.
3) This policy is applicable to both citizens and permanent residents.
