if my wife stop working for one year and during this period I applied for HDB loan HLE, how will it affect the max loan amount. basically my wife will resume working after one year, should have no problem with repaying the loan

Hi,

Since your wife is not contributing income, the HLE loan will be based on your income only (using the gross monthly household income computation) which in turn lowers your loan attainable. Thanks and may I assist with your housing plans further to assist?
