Hi

You may be able to purchase a BTO or resale as a single and enjoy singles grant only after you reached 35 next year. An exception to this rule is when you are applying with your parents or child under your custody, care and control (for divorce cases). Your parents or child need not be named as an owner but have to be listed at least as an occupier and they did not own other HDB or private property under their name. You need to be officially 35 in order to purchase a resale flat or apply for BTO as a single purchaser. If you are applying for BTO, you are only limited to 2 room flats, while you have more choices for resale option.

You can only apply for a BTO flat, or purchase a HDB resale flat after you turn 35 years old next year.

Hi Ali,

1) You can only take part in a balloting exercise after you turned 35 yrs old as a single SC.
2) Likewise, you can only register an intent to buy for a resale after you reach your 35 yrs old birthday.
3) You are eligible for a 2-rm flat under a non-mature estate for a BTO flat.
4) You may buy any flat type when come to buying a resale.
