You might not aware that engaging services for buying resale condo does not need to pay any commission to agent.

Engaging an agent service should has all the pros rather than cons. Agent will be able to assist in your paper processing, negotiation and sourcing.

There is no requirement for you to engage an agent for your condo purchase.

However, by engaging a right agent, you can enjoy the many benefits, from giving sound advice, sourcing of suitable units, planning of timeline, all the way down to negotiation. Most importantly, a proficient agent can also help you avoid potential pitfalls in a property transaction.

As for the remuneration to your agent, these can be worked out. In most circumstances, you do not need to pay your agent commission as the Buyer agent usually cobroke and collects commission from the Seller agent.

Having said that, I also have handled cases whereby my Buyer remunerate me for getting him an absolute bargain!

To be frank you dont have to appoint a representative in your property purchase process.

But it's good to have.

First usually for private purchase, buyers wont have to pay commission but there are cases that buyers pay.

Secondly, you got yourself a professional that can brief you through the process, shortlist units according to your requirements, budget and preferred location, negotiate the best price for you etc.

So you can consider to engage a professional. More pros than cons.

It's totally up to you to appoint an agent to source, fix appointments, negotiate and do the necessary paperwork.

Thus in my opinion it's good to appoint an agent.
