Hi,

Yes min 5% cash is compulsory. Assuming you can take 80% loan, the balance 15% downpayment and 3% stamp duties can be paid by cpf. May I understand which EC are you considering? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans further.

Good morning EC buyer,

$30k housing grant will credited into yours and spouse's CPF account before it will be deducted for downpayment or stamp duties purposes.

As long as you are eligible for max 80% bank loan, your downpayment will consist of 5% cash and 15% cash or CPF downpayment

You have to fork out at least 5% cash as this is usually the booking fee.

May I know why will you ask whether is it mandatory to fork this amount in cash?

As for the $30k grant, it will be deposited into your CPF account and may be used as part of the balance 15% downpayment.

For your information, the $30k grant is the maximum grant and different buyers may be eligible for different amounts.
