Hi YJ,
Your wife not working will not affect you and your spouse applying for housing loan with the bank. Factors that affect bank loan are :-
1)Existing Credit Liability
Max Liability < 40% of gross income.

2)Credit History
A borrower must be not be a default payer to any financial institution. Credit cards, Personal Loans or Auto Loans will affect this.

3)Proof of Income
For Salaried Employees, min 6 mths CPF statement. For Self Employed, 2 years IRAS tax assessment.

you can also arrange with some very good mobile bankers to advise you on your financial status before you decide to sell or buy.
Its always good to have proper planning first before deciding anything.
