Good evening,

As the HDB had been purchased under single scheme, you are eligible to keep the unit. However, you cannot add your spouse as the co-owner nor essential occupier else she will be required to sell her private property.

Hi,

(1) You can only dispose off your HDB upon getting special approval from HDB.
(2) Therefore the usual case is your wife would have to dispose off her private property within 6 months as an essential occupier.

The point is:
Your wife must be an essential occupier if you got married.

(3) If your MOP is just months away, you could consider in getting traditional marriage first follow by legal marriage.
Because your wife can get to hold on to her private property once your MOP is fulfilled.
