Good morning,

If you are looking at keeping your EC after fulfilling the MOP, you are only eligible to purchase another resale EC as your second property. In the event that you want to purchase resale HDB unit, you will be required to sell away your current EC within 6 months from key collection.

Hi,

Yes you can buy another resale EC once your current EC MOP of 5 years is met, it will be treated as 2nd private property. No need to sell current EC.

However, you need to dispose your current EC after purchasing of resale HDB.

Hi,

A resale EC is considered a private property. You can purchase such a property after you have met your 5-year MOP for your current EC, and keep both properties. Do take note that ABSD is payable for second property purchase.

If you were to purchase a resale HDB, you would be required to sell off your current EC within 6 months upon the completion of the HDB purchase. You will also be required to fulfill a new 5-year MOP period for your HDB flat, before being able to purchase another residential property. In this case, no ABSD is payable.

Good evening,

You are eligible to purchase a resale EC if you have fulfilled the minimum occupation period of your current EC as resale EC is considered a private property as well.

But do take note of the cooling measures that will be applicable to you like stamp duty, CPF and loan restrictions.

Do take note that if you purchase a resale HDB, you will have to dispose off your current EC within 6 months from resale purchase completion. You will have to fulfill MOP before you can purchase a private again.
