If I had bought a flat as a single, and my future spouse owns private property, do we have to dispose of one of the properties after marriage?

Morning,

As you have purchased the unit while you are still single, you are not required to sell away your unit upon getting married.

i would suggest that you check directly with HDB.

I have had a client previously who owned a private condo and his g/f owned a HDB.

Upon their marriage, HDB required them to incl the name as they now formed a family nucleus. As a result of that , he was forced to sell his condo. Read More
