Good morning p,

Did you take up the half housing grant when you purchase your existing resale flat?

If yes, both of you will be considered as second timer for BTO/ EC in future. Resale levy will be payable too, do take note.

Hope my sharing helps in aiding in your enquiry. May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?

Best regards,

YT Tan

Hi,

1) As long as you purchase a resale without applying and received a grant. You shall always be considered for 1st time under the BTO application.
2) Thus you will still be eligible for BTO & new EC and under 1st timer priority in the future.
3) But if you apply for the grant and received it in this resale HDB flat purchase. You and your wife will be categorized under 2nd timer in BTO & the new EC application.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Hi
If you never take any grant for your resale, you will be considered first timer for your next BTO application even though your wife may be second timer. However, typically for first and second timer couples, normally they will take half housing grant for their first resale and if you do so, both of you will be considered as 2nd timer family and resale levy will also apply should you purchase a BTO or EC in the future. Do note that in some cases, a person is still considered a first timer even if they co-owned a HDB before as they did not purchase direct from HDB, purchase a resale without grant or just effect a name transfer on their previously co-owned flat. Have you check with HDB on your wife first timer status? I am speciaiised in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
