You can do it on your own provided you have a lot of spare time as this would involve a lot of time and hassle in advertising on the websites, print advertisement, picking of calls and screening suitable candidates and arranging viewings.

Not forgetting the paperworks involved, preparing the tenancy agreement, inventory list, stamp duty application, etc.

Engaging an agent does save your time and efforts, especially if you are working a full time job.

A professional agent can also advise you on the rental pricing in the current market in your location and assist you should any problems arise during the lease period.

Last but not least,you should fulfill the minimum occupancy before you lease out the house as only approved units are allowed to be lease.
