I was planning on buying a resale HDB with my mother to give her somewhere to live and I plan on continuing to stay in my rental property. Can I still buy a house with my mother if I'm married? Meaning my husband wouldn't be one of the owners. Thanks

Hi,

Nope sorry you can’t as you are still married.

Hi
You may do so provided your husband is named as one of the occupier to the flat you bought. However there are some implications you need to take note of. I am specialised in HDB regulations and transaction. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.

Hi Mdm,

You can purchase a resale flat jointly with your Mother, but as you're married, your Husband would also need to be the essential occupier of the flat. He need not be one of the co-owners.

Do take note that both you and your Husband will be required to dispose off all interests in properties (existing HDB and/or private properties, both local and overseas) latest within 6 months upon the HDB flat purchase.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
