Afternoon Jeson,

In purchase of resale HDB unit, you need to be single SC whose age is 35 and above or marriage SC to PR / SC to SC / PR to PR.

Cost incurred would include stamp and legal fee, HDB admin cost, Fire insurance, Caveat and property tax refund.

    Thanks Mike. I forgot to mention that I am SPR. So all these fees are started for SC and SPR or are they different. How can I calculated these costs to get an idea what is an average cash that I would require apart from the home loan from bank assuming the property I want to buy is around $400K?

Hi Jeson,

Main cost will be the valuation cost (to obtain loan for your mortgage), legal fees, HDB resale submission fee, fire insurance (mandatory if you are using HDB loan for purchase) and buyer's stamp duty (if your CPF OA cant cover).
