I want to ask the gurus the following question:
1. The seller agent passed me an utility bill to prove ownership of the flat that I am buying. Is that standard? I am sort of expecting more formal document like HDB letter.
2. The flat that I am buying is jointly owned by the husband and wife. I was told that I just need to make my cheque out to either the husband and the wife. Is that correct?
3. On Clause 12 of the OTP, the owner wants to apply for HDB approval for the sales and purchase within 7 calendar days after exercising the OTP. Is that normal? Seem like quite rushed to me.
4. Anyone got any good solicitor to recommend?
