I understand that you can't buy any residential properties while still within MOP. But what will happen to my HDB flat If I go ahead to purchase a private residential property?

Consequences are as per what Keith has mentioned.
I am greatly interested to find out more about what your objective(s) is for proceeding to purchase a private property while your HDB is still within MOP knowing that this is disallowed.
