I understand that the government has asked us to use 50% of the cash proceeds from selling the HDB flat to use to buy the second HDB flat in the resale market? Or directly from HDB? Since the COV is so high now and that HDb price is also very high; HDB should allow us to use the 50% imposed on us to pay for the COV. HDB owners are not rich and we need the cash proceeds to pay for another flat if the COV is high and also for renovation purposes.
