I understand that, I quote 'Mop for flats purchased directly frm hdb is 5 yrs frm effective date of purchase.'

What is considered effective date of purchase?
- the date we signed the option form. Or
- the date we received the key?

Btw, possible to try appealing for waiver of mop?

Hi Faith,

To put it simply, it will be from the day you are the legal owner of the property.

You may try appealling, however, chances of success will be low, unless you have an excellent reason behind the appeal.
